         Man, what can say except this album stinks.
        Sorry and all--it's not the sonics, but musically
        speaking, there seems to be no variety here. Unlike their
        1995 release titled 311, which had some great
        variety and good licks, 311's new album seems too
        monotonous for me. Admiringly, I love the cover art of
        the new album, Transistor, which is a vacuum
        tube! Unfortunately, the music on the vinyl leaves a bit
        to be desired. If you like good progressive jams with a
        reggae feel then I can highly recommend the previous
        album. Unfortunately the same just can't be said about
        the new album (unless you like repetition from song to
        song). Just when I felt it was a sure thing to buy a 311
        recording too :-{(+
